Haha, well, it's not always deliberate. I'm just so darned slow because of all that nasty shading I like to do... so sometimes I just can't help it. Plus, 6-8 hours is about my max when it comes to sitting still too.
Thanks for the watch btw, it's a real honor. I promise I'll have more to come, but it might be a while still

Haha, well, if I'm lucky, I should have another piece up in the next two months or so, and it's liable to be my best work to date, certainly the longest I‘ve ever worked on any single drawing before... 70 hours so far... I think.

Your composition and colours seem to be the epitome of aesthetical pleasingness. I love the way your ink lines subtly fit in with the painting. I don't think they're too thick or too thin.

--on a side note, i saw you talking about riverdance, i saw it live! such a cool show! I was an irish dancer for 11 years (just retired last year) and Micheal Flately, some of his relatives are friends of my family. His sisters Tohma and Liza, then his nieces all danced
(or still dance) at the same dance school i went to ^^ haha, sorry, just felt like commenting

Haha ^^ It does take a lot of time and practice to get it right. I certainly wasnt the best dancer there, but, to be the best, you pretty much have to eat sleep and breathe dancing. The girls who go on to the world competition in ireland, and who get to join something like riverdance really work hard for it. I knew a girl from our dance school who joined riverdance after highschool, they work so hard, it's not even funny. And, for my experiance, i have about 30+ medals and some ribbons from over the years, not to mention, it was a great experiance. It's certainly not your average everyday sport XD
Haha, i'm getting lazier now too XD though, at least twice a week i have to run around after a 4 year old and a toddler, so i suppose im not a complete bum...yet

You're way too hard on your work, this is gorgeous :3
The fur detail is fantastic, it gives a kind of crystalised look! The sky ribbon thingymahjig really does look like flowing material, and I'm loving the plaid into stars idea.
The background is so lovely, like a magical forest. How you've worked in greens and purples so naturally I'll never know! That moon is just beautiful, you add in such tiny, subtle touches that bring the picture to life.
The flow and perspective are just perfect, she's very 3D looking, you've pulled that off so well :3

Hmm, have you tried using a sharp pencil for outlining? I also use a white colour pencil with my other colours to keep them smooth, and the white dots are white gel-pen...the make is PILOT G-1. I think they do Pilot pens all around the world...

Woah, sorry for the late reply! :> Nope, I use Prisma pencils...the watercolours I use are a small watercolour cake set I got out of a cheap WHSmith art set. X>
