Tutorial (You need MME):
Open MMD and a model, next go to MMEffects, click on Effect Mapping, and load the shader.
Recommended light for this effect:

I have a question, how do you soften the shadow? I keep getting a pixalated shadow and i dont know how to smooth it out ;u;

You should download the effect "ExcellentShadow".

I do have ExellentShadow loaded but it wont smooth it out =\ are there any setting I need to have it in or something?

Though I think excellentshadows only work on limited effect. Adjusting the self_shadow manipulation bar might help, but switching effects could be better. Sorry if I'm no help to you, I'm still learning stuffs in MMD

It's okay! jusy you using the effect the shadows look so smooth and I was wondering what I could do, since the shadows looked pixalated and exellentshadow didnt work with it ;u;

After loading the effect make sure your shadows are on, to turn them on go to View or the third tab on MMD. Click it then keep looking until you see "Display ground shadow(S)" it will probably solve your problem, if not download the latest version of MMD Learnmmd.com and if it's still not working make sure your textures are in the folder with your model.
