Description
This is the template for the Ebon Hawk model. (13MB download)The template is composed of 19 pages; a cover sheet and a page with the optional landing gear with struts do not need to be printed if you are not inclined. Remember that you can just make the 'feet' and glue them in a stowed position or, if you wish, simply don't make them at all. The model is identical to the in-game model with only a tiny number of alterations to make it easier to build. I labelled the parts as clearly as I could but you'll need the associated instructions to build this and it wouldn't hurt to take a good look at images of the ship in-game (or at the actual mesh if you can acquire it, I cannot add it as it is not my property, though I can tell you that it's extractable from the game). Instructions will be added as soon as I can.
I would like to thank the Anonymous person who extracted the model and mesh and converted them into a format I could use, this model could not have been created without your efforts.
UPDATE: I noticed that more than a few people have been kind enough to post news of the model on their blogs/sites. If it is not too much trouble would you mind ensuring that people understand that the model and all updates can be found here, I think a lot of people have downloaded without understanding that the instructions are being continually worked on and uploaded in chunks.
Clickie the nice download button on the right side of the screen to get the goods.
UPDATE: Quick link to the instructions - [link]

Thank you, Martinux, for posting this!
One of my Tabletop RPG group members requested that their character fly a Dynamic class.
Yours is the best (and the only) papercraft template I could find!
I've scaled it down to match the other ships we're using. If I finish assembly, I'll share photos!

This is pretty excellent. Β Β I'm 2/3 of the way through building it and it's evident the model was designed with a lot of care (and time!).
One question however: is there any chance of getting one more page, for the cockpit interior and hallway? Β Just in case any of us is inclined to cut out the windows and replace with cellophane, for instance. Β
Thanks much. Β Fabulous work.

Unfortunately it's not really feasible. An obvious issue is that the outside scale of the Hawk was too small to hold what we see inside.
Please post photos when you're done.

This model looks absolutely brilliant Martinux How big does it wind up being if you print on 8.5 X 11 inches? I was thinking of printing out the PDF on 11 X 17 or even larger. If I know the dimensions of yours I can do some math. At this point, I'm even considering cutting the pieces our of foam poster board and making a very large one indeed! Please let me know ^_^

Hi there. The model template was designed for A4. You could scale it for another format but I can't guarantee good results. As for using foam poster board, I suspect it is possible however I designed the model parts to be printed and cut from card.
Best of luck.

Beautiful! Β I'm going to have to see if I can scale this down to 1:270 and see if I could use your model as another YT-1300 proxy for use with X-Wing Miniatures (just for the sake of doing so ).

Thank you. It would be a tough job to scale it down so much without drastically simplifying the model.
Best of luck and please post pictures.

I've just printed your template at 40% scale (which should be fairly close to 1/270), and I'm cutting out the pieces now.
If I succeed in assembling it, I'll share photo(s)

PS. I've found a link to an awesome Falcon Millenium papercraft here: [link] but it just gives an "error404" result. Does any1 know where else to find this magnificient ship?
(I'm browsing the web even now, but...)

this is an awesome papercraft, but could you simplify it a bit? or make it smaller? just a thought...
π: 0 β©: 1
Martinux In reply to ShadowBlade982 [2011-04-21 10:31:16 +0000 UTC]
It takes a lot of work to produce a model of this complexity and even more to redesign it. Making it smaller would make it harder to build.
I advise that you try a few more straightforward models and when you're feeling a little more confident attempt to build this one. I don't think building it is overly difficult but it will take time and patience.
Good luck whatever you decide.

One more question. English isn't my mother tongue so what GSM means?
π: 0 β©: 1
Martinux In reply to KreiaFan [2011-01-02 03:32:40 +0000 UTC]
Grammes per square meter.

Is it supposed to build from normal paper? I mean, not from stronger? The paper you use in the instructions looks stronger than normal.
π: 0 β©: 1
Martinux In reply to KreiaFan [2011-01-01 09:32:55 +0000 UTC]
The instructions gives a comprehensive description of the paper used, the model template suggests a weight in GSM for the various sheets.

WOW.. few words..
If it wasnt for uI probably never would have found this site.. Googling obout Ebonhawk led me here
You model is the most beautiful one I would say I have ever seen in my life. you got some real talent to make such assembly technique to put those parts together.. Truly honored to post my comments here.. Keep up the good work
-----------
By the way You said people were not downloading assembly instructions... I did not find link to any PDF or doucument execpt the one that contains the template for ebonHawk..
Also I think if you can post more images of your model from different angles others will find it much easier to assemble.( including me I am Halfway)
once again thanks.. and great job
