Five star! Focus and crop are just perfect. The slightly blurred background really has this newspaper angel come alive for all the world to see. (The blind being, as is usual in such cases, excused).
Top notch work, and I hope this guy will see this one one day. I'm sure he would be pleased beyond himself.
Oh, and that EXIF-time travel thing you discussed with Jacob is an extra bonus here. Hope dA will be back from the future some day soon.

Thanks, B!
That's my trusty 50mm weaving its bokeh magic. Loving this lens, man!
I asked the Angel for his email address, but he didn't have one. So I'm gonna get this photo printed from the studio and gift it to him - if I ever see him again that is.
Haha! That Jakob; he's such a character!

Thanks, man.
I'm not even a Canon guy. I just happen to own a Canon camera.

well, that is what I meant.. unless you have the resources to build yourself one like Jony Ive.. wouldn't be too hard to do a better job..
(talking looks here)

Ah, you mean the iLeica guy!
Man I wouldn't be half surprised if that contraption came with a pre-installed Siri.
Imagine the possibilities. You could place the iLeica anywhere and yell, "Siri, shoot!", and the camera would go, "Click!Click!Click!Click!Click!Click!..."
That iLeica is not a bad looking camera though. A little toy-ish yeah, but it's alright.
Btw, is it just me, or does Jony Ive's voice sound a lot like Simon Cowell's - albeit a bit mellower?

'sorry, I don't know what you mean by "shoot", would you like me to perform a web search?'
I don't like it. Even for iProduct it looks dated, all those round corners and the shutter speed dial is set in? Why? On the barrel there you have no way of making difference between focus and aperture... I don't think it is very functional.. It's not even pretty. Thanks god it is one of a kind. All the best to the new owner..
As I said before, some poor bastard will pay a fortune for it. It is set to raise about $500.000!!!

"Focus and barrel. Focus and barrel..." Well boo hoo!
Let me tell you a parable of our iGod and iSaviour, Steve Jobs, who said it best when one poor soul complained about the iPhone 4 antenna and how touching the phone caused reception to drop from five bars to one bar, or no reception at all.
The good iLord said, "Just don't hold it that way."
This happened back in 2010; those words are still relevant today.

right.
Still ridiculous. Jony is a great designer, no doubts. Leica is amazing camera, no doubts there either. Both work well apart. I am not sure about them working together. Repeating myself: thanks god it is one of a kind.
Just an opinion brother.. No hard feelings I hope..

Yes, I have noticed you use gimp. How is that working for you. Can you compare to Lightroom or Photoshop? I mean did you use those in the past?
I have been trying to switch to Linux years ago. Unfortunately there have been some things I could not get to work. Little software that I couldn't replace or emulate on Ubuntu. Maybe just gave up too early..

Gimp's a great piece of image editing software.
Yes, I've used Photoshop under Wine (works like a charm!) I still do sometimes, especially when I'm working on header art for my journals and also with RAW files; the final edit, however, is always done in gimp.
Been using my old PS 7 for ages and just recently upgraded to CS6 (loving the dark interface) thanks to a friend who shared his registered copy of the software with my computer.
I've also played around a bit with Lightroom. It was ok-ish.
Gimp still has a long way to before it can rival the likes of PS and LR, but as a standalone image editor for basic post-processing, it's quite fantastic!

The poor fella's a newspaper guy. It's a cool bike though.
The exif thing is probably due to time differences between Dubai and Denmark. It's showing up fine on my screen.

Kim Jong-un must've gotten confused between UAE and USA - since both countries' names begin with a U.
Thanks, Mark! I really appreciate it, my friend.
