Description
My first 18 shot Maverick mod.I cannibalized one of my old removable cylinder mods for two of the cylinders - hence the rust paint.
The stock cylinder still needs the posts removed and drilled out.
So far the mods are; spring compression, extra trigger spring, removed restrictors, air-tight barrels. Currently hitting around 45ft in initial tests.
**Note/edit: I wish I came up with this idea! Credit for this Mod goes to the guy who wrote it up here:

Thanks! I took some testors rust paint and dabbed it on top of the a Rustoleum hammered finish, dabbing the excess with a rag. You can also sprinkle sand or salt into the paint to give it real rust texture.

lolz - I wish I had that skill!
I was thinking of adding an arm brace - like the kind they use for metal detectors - under the forearm extension to help distribute the weight.

That would be cool as well.

pretty cool. I modded a longshot that can now shoot about 85-100 ft (depending on wind). All i did for that was take out the air restricter, added about 20 kg to the spring load power, and reinforced the stock with PCV to give it extra leverage to cock it back.

I appreciate it!
Nice work on the LS mod -- with that power I bet it hurts being shot up close! Did you find your own spring at a hardware store, or buy one from a place like Orange Mod Works? I am looking into economical LS spring upgrades.
I don't normally swap out the springs or make them too powerful unless they are my own private weapon. I am kind of apprehensive of selling an uber-modded gun online, in the event of some kind of lawsuit, lol.
OMW sells an upgraded spring for the Maverick, but it is too powerful for the trigger mechanism.

yeah. I got the springs at Home Depot. they were about 10$. And Yes, the gun does sting a bit if you're shot point blank. My friends and I use our Nerf guns for HVZ (humans vs. zombies). Just today, I popped my one friend in the temple as he was running parallel to me about 50 ft away. I checked his head afterward and he had a bruise starting to form. lol
