if in Hi'iro no Kakera, one is trying built relationship with 1 of the 6 Hanyou (half human half demon) guardians (this 2 games are from the same game company btw) at Will O'Wisp, one is trying to built a relationship with 1 of the 5 puppets known as the "Elemental Dolls" - the legendary puppets who can talk, have feeling, personalities, & exactly like a normal living human, who will stay alive as long as their current owner(s) who they vowed their live to is also still breathing.

Ignis, as the last one that being created among the Elemental Dolls, was also created with different mechanism unlike his other 4 'older bros'; thus he can move & live even without any owner to vowed with. & the fact that the creator didnt give him away to a new owner before hand, means that Ignis never have had any new owner besides his own creator.

& while his 4 other siblings can have a long sleep to wait for another new owner(s) after their previous owner(s) died, Ignis has been having a lonely life for hundreds of years, which later causing him to develops a complex hatred towards puppeteers & puppets owners alike (also, a complex feeling towards his creator, juz like Takasugi with Shouyou sensei from Gintama) xDDD;;
so its up to the heroine to melt his freezing cold heart & cured the scar of his lonely past

oh I think I forgot to mentioned that..... IGNIS IS ALSO VOICED BY KOYASU!!!
