Here is my last work for Windows XP...Athens DWM!Basicly this is a "How Longhorn have could looket" like theme, basing on shots and some ideas from myself.
With this Style i'd like to say: Bye Bye Windows XP!!!!
To all fans or ladys/gentlemans which like my work, If deviantart has a Vista section, i'll be back

for those of you who dont get to install the .zip file. DONT rename it, simply go into WindowBlinds and then choose: Add skin. Then you can select the zip-file and vollia the skin is installed

It's sad that this will be your last XP based skin, but what a way to go out! This skin is awesome. For a long time now, despite all the thousands of people going gah-gah over the way Vista looks, I've said that Longhorn had a variety of better features appearance-wise. You really bring out a lot of what MS could have done, had they stuck with progressing the original Longhorn look.
This theme is really amazingly well done. However, for being a Windowblinds, it does seem to be not completely feature full as with some others. For example, the "please wait" dialog box is still the same as you get with XP by default. Granted, it's a minor point, but sometimes these lil minor points are what help to really round out a Windowblinds as being outstanding. It also might help if the taskbar weren't so completely transparent, but a little more shaded looking so that is has more of a translucent look vs transparent.
Those are just minor points though, this really is a great skin. Keep up the great work!

Trying to add the athens skin to my window blinds and it says there is no .uis file in the skin and doesn't load it. What am I doing wrong?

OKAY!!! Listen up because this has the material to be THE FUCKING BEST THEME I EVER USED.
I'm loving everything! But what I like less in this, I HATE!
Taskbar buttons need work, taskbar needs to be thinner but not grow when iTunes minimizes to it.
The shadows are too far off! Center them!
NO ONE LIKES STYLER (by no one I mean me) So at least make a similar shell for WB.
Besides that I am in LOVE with the rest.

Great VISTA skin. I can't understand why so many skinners are copying the basic VISTA style and calling it "their take of VISTA". This is one of the few that is unique and actually nice to look at. This skin is SWEET. No offense to the skinners out there working hard on VISTA styles but enough is enough. I want to see more creativity like MaStErHACk's skin here.

hey, ive been downloading Windowblinds Themes for a couple years now, and had recently discovered DeviantART. I wanted to ask you how to apply themes when you get them as ZIP files??? Usually i would download a theme directly off of wincustomize and not have to go through unzipping.... could someone please help????

In IE7, the color of the fonts on the tabs are white, making it virtually impossible to read, but with a slight mod i was able to fix that.

Nice. Some of the edges are a little too rough. Smoothen them out plz. Interesting work with the shadows but they should be on the right of the windows, not the left.

Excellent! Being a fan of the new transparent skins,you have become my new favorite, especially since that ridiculous user pic is gone. Dont give up on XP quite yet, since theres yet another delay in Vista's release date(haha)Thanks for the skin

Below the screenshot in Windowblinds config there is a button that says: "Rebuild List". Press that and it will rebuild your skin list. After that it should show up! Good luck.

One question, I have double clicked the wba file, but can not find it in the theme list of windowblinds. Does anyone knows why?

Well, it's a very beautiful style. It really is, in my opinion, the best alternative to a vista style out there. KoL and Jemaho have both produced wonderful vista styles, and this longhorn style is the perfect compliment. It reminds us all of what could have been for Vista, and I for one feel that it may have been a better way to go.
