(Kopa vs Simba)

Simba stands on the promontory not long after arrogantly and unjustly exiling Kovu for an ambush he (Kovu) had no knowledge of.

KIARA: Father, please, [Kiara approaches Simba.] reconsider.

SIMBA: You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on.

KIARA: No, that's not–

[Simba looks back at Kiara.]

SIMBA: He used you to get to me!

KIARA: No! He loves me...for me!

SIMBA: Because you are my daughter. [Simba juts his head at Kiara, who backs away.] You will not leave Pride Rock. You will stay where I can keep an eye on you. Away from him!

KIARA: You don't know him!

[Simba paces to the edge of the promontory.]

SIMBA: I know he's following in Scar's paw prints! [Simba bows his head.] And I must follow in my father's.

[But before Kiara can say anything, Kopa who has had enough of Simba’s attitude as well his prejudice against the Outsiders loses his temper and walks straight up to Simba and looks dead at Simba in the eye as he stands in front of Kiara to protect her from Simba’s attitude towards her]

KOPA: [as the rest of the Royal Family, the Pride, Timon, and Pumbaa watch on] Father, how many lessons have you had about ruling the Pride Lands? Four! I’ve had a lot more than that, and so has Kiara. We put our lives on the line every day to defend peace, and love, and the Pride Lands, and the Circle of Life, and all you have done recently is sit here making decisions you believe you won’t have to live with! And speaking of decisions, your decision to send Timon and Pumbaa after me and Kiara during our (Kopa and Kiara) first hunt made you responsible for me and Kiara almost getting killed by the fire when we (Kopa and Kiara) got forced to take the hunt away from the Pride Lands when you didn’t stay true to your word of letting me and Kiara do our first hunt alone. And now the decision you just made to exile Kovu and Vitani without giving them a fair chance to prove their innocence and not forgive them for an ambush they had no knowledge of has only resulted in you tearing our lives apart. You are very irresponsible and everything you have done recently turns out badly for me and Kiara! Are you trying to send us a message, you big arrogant spoiled bratty piece of garbage!?!?

[With that, Simba turns to attack, but Kopa is too strong due to that he has the strength of Mufasa in himself as Kopa and Simba’s respective roars can be heard across the savanna.]

[Nala, Kiara, Sarabi, Kion, Sarafina, the Pride, Timon, and Pumbaa watch on in shock at the fight they are witnessing as they see that Kopa is standing up for them.]

[Fuli, Azaad, Beshte, Bunga, Binga, Ono, Anga, Tifu, Zuri, and Rafiki are in the savanna having just seen what Simba had done to Kovu and are now watching the fight between Kopa and Simba in a mixture of shock and amazement]

ONO: Are we seeing…?

FULI: The firstborn Prince standing up to the King?

BESHTE: Like my dad always says, “Live long enough, and you’ll see everything”.
