What if Nala leaves Simba for Kimba
(Nala shocked to see that Simba will not have anything to do with returning to the Pride Lands to challenge Scar take his place as King as he is very mad at her for leaving him for Kimba and leaving him brokenhearted)

Pretty much everything else in “The Lion King” goes on as originally even while Nala has left Simba for Kimba as she has found Kimba to be better than Simba, that is until during the reunion between Simba and Nala this time also between Kimba and Kitty.

NALA: Wait till everyone [Simba lifts his head to meet Nala's gaze.] finds out you've been here all this time. And your mother... What will she think?

SIMBA: [distressed] S-She doesn't have to know. Nobody has to know.

NALA: Well, of course they do. Everyone thinks you're dead.

SIMBA: They do?

NALA: Yeah. Scar told us about the stampede.
Simba looks away.

SIMBA: He did? [haltingly] What else did he tell you?

NALA: What else matters? You're alive. And that means...you're the king.

TIMON: King? Pfft! [Timon approaches Simba and Nala.] Lady, have you got [Timon leans on one of Simba's paws.] your lions crossed.

[Nala ducks down to Timon's level]

PUMBAA: [in awe] King? Your Majesty! [Pumbaa bows to Simba.] I gravel at your feet.

[Pumbaa aggressively kisses one of Simba's paws. Disgusted, Simba pulls his paw away from Pumbaa.]

SIMBA: Stop it.

[Timon approaches Pumbaa]

TIMON: It's not "gravel." It's "grovel." And don't! [Timon whacks Pumbaa's snout.] He's not the king. [Timon glances over one shoulder at Simba.] Are ya?

SIMBA: [hastily] No!

[Nala, Kimba, and Kitty are taken aback]

NALA: Simba!

SIMBA: No, I'm not the king! [Simba stands.] Maybe I was gonna be, [Simba strides away.] but that was a long time ago. Besides, it already came to my attention and decision that I’m not going back.

NALA: [confused] What do you mean? The Pride Lands is supposed to be where you belong.

SIMBA: Not anymore.

NALA: Since when?

SIMBA: [Turning to face Nala with a look of disgust, disappointment, and anger which reveals his true feelings] Since you left me for Kimba!

[Nala, Kimba, and Kitty are struck with horror]

SIMBA: It’s true, Nala. When you left me for Kimba, you didn’t just break my heart, you also made me feel betrayed and cast out as if I was some sort of piece of garbage after all we had been through. But now, it’s come to my decision and attention that if you and Kimba are so very great together, why don’t you and Kimba rule the Pride Lands together, because I am not going back.

NALA: Simba….

SIMBA: I’m sorry, Nala. But my mind is made up. This is where I belong, and that’s it. And I cannot be best friends with someone who’s just gonna walk out on me all because of some sort of better offer.

[With that, Simba storms off leaving Nala burdened with deep guilt and sadness]

KIMBA: Simba is right, Nala. Did you really think I ever liked the way you treated Simba by walking out on him as if he was some sort of piece of garbage?

[Nala says nothing]

KIMBA: My point exactly. Maybe you should think twice before walking out on someone who’s been very great to you like Simba has been to you.

[Kimba and Kitty follow after Simba while Timon and Pumbaa go to their sleeping area leaving Nala still burdened with deep guilt and sadness]
