What if Simba and Nala befriend Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan

(Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan, and Nala comfort Simba after he cries from getting scared by a loud crack of thunder during a severe thunderstorm while Mufasa, Sarabi, Sarafina, and the Pride see how much Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan genuinely care about Simba)

Mufasa, Simba, Nala, Zazu, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan arrive back at Pride Rock by nightfall moments before a thunderstorm spreads over the Pride Lands as Sarabi, Sarafina, and the rest of the Pride are waiting.

SARABI: (to Mufasa) You okay, Mufasa?

MUFASA: I’m okay, Sarabi.

SIMBA: I’m okay too, Mom.

SARAFINA: (to Nala) You okay, Nala?

NALA: Yes, Mom. I’m okay.

RISALA (one of the Pride Lander Lionesses): (to Mufasa) (noticing Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan) Uh, Your Majesty, with all due respect, why are they here?

MUFASA: Risala, they made friends with my son Prince Simba as well as Nala.

SIMBA: I know I found it really odd at first too. But yet, for some reason, when they came out to meet me and Nala, they showed no signs nor intentions of eating us.

NALA: Not even for a second.

ZAZU: Not even one.

SIMBA: What really surprised us the most was when they addressed us as friends. And so as we got to know them, they offered to be friends with us.

NALA: Simba and I agreed, because we could sense there were no signs of deception in their words and actions.

ZAZU: Which brought to my attention that this can be the beginning to ending the feud between Lions and Hyenas which can create a brighter future between them. For as long as the feud continues, there could be more bloodshed between you guys and them which can be very bad for the Circle of Life.

SIMBA: After getting to know these Hyenas, it’s become very clear to me and Nala that we don’t think that they will risk getting kicked out again by disrespecting the Circle of Life.

SHENZI: Not even for a second.

BANZAI: Absolutely.

SHENZI & BANZAI: (to Ed) Ed?

ED: *head nod*

Sarabi, Sarafina, Risala, and the Pride are moved by Mufasa, Simba, Nala, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed’s words. And then at that moment, a loud crack of thunder scares Simba to the point where he begins to cry.

SHENZI: (feeling sorry for Simba) Come here, Simba.

Simba runs up to Shenzi who hugs him tightly as Simba continues to cry for a moment.

SHENZI: (offering words of comfort) Don’t worry, Prince Simba. You’re safe now. There’s no reason to be scared.

BANZAI: Yeah. Besides, if you’re going to be King someday, you will have to get rid of being scared, otherwise there are those who will want to take advantage that.

SHENZI & BANZAI: (to Ed) Ed?

ED: *head nod*

NALA: (to Simba) Besides, you’re surrounded by those who care about you deeply.

Mufasa, Sarabi, Sarafina, Risala, and the Pride are moved by Nala, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed’s words.

ZIRA: Nala and the Hyenas are right, Prince Simba. If you’re going to be King someday, there can be no place for fear anywhere in your heart and mind and your judgment.

(Side note: This time, Zira has broken up with Scar some time earlier when Scar try to cheat on her by trying to gain Sarabi’s affection which he tried to regain when he challenged Mufasa for the throne earlier on life after when he lost the Roar for using it for evil by destroying his own Lion Guard when they refused to help him take down Mufasa.)
