What if the other half survives the Snap in Avengers: Infinity War/Avengers: Endgame

Star-Lord, Gamora, Mantis, Bucky, Groot, Vision (who stayed behind with Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill during the Time Heist), Black Panther, Shuri, Doctor Strange, Peter Parker, Carol Danvers, Falcon, Wanda Maximoff, Hope van Dyne, Scott Lang, Loki, Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill are all gathered together in the workshop room where Shuri, Peter Parker, and Hank Pym work together to place the Infinity Stones on the Nano Gauntlet made out of Vibranium by Shuri. Once it is done, the Nano Gauntlet is placed on scanner on a table in the workshop with Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne standing on opposite sides of the table with the Nano Gauntlet in the middle as everyone else present watches and waits for the next course of action.

JANET VAN DYNE: Alright, the glove’s ready.

HANK PYM: The question is “Who’s gonna snap their fingers”?

PETER PARKER (to Peter Quill): What about you, Quill? Will you do it?

PETER QUILL: I would, Parker. The only reason I was able to survive holding the Power Stone for as long as I did was because of my Celestial genes.

GAMORA: But after we had to blow up his evil birth father Ego, the defeat came at the cost of Quill’s Celestial genes. That is why he longer has it.

PETER QUILL: So, this time, I wouldn’t be able to last longer all by myself. Besides, Gamora needs me.

DOCTOR STRANGE: While I would be able to handle the power of the Infinity Stones, I’m not as durable as Thanos and Bruce Banner.

LOKI: I didn’t get my title“the god of mischief” for nothing. I would only cause mischief if I do this.

GROOT: I am Groot (If that’s the case, then it’s gotta be me).

Everyone present in the workshop looks at Groot in shock who approaches the Vibranium Infinity Gauntlet.

GROOT: I am Groot (You saw what those Stones did to Thanos. They almost killed him. None of you could survive).

FALCON: How do we know you will?

GROOT: I am Groot (We don’t. But the energy is mostly heat. It’s like I was born for this).

The rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy agrees. Groot picks up the Vibranium Infinity Gauntlet as the surviving Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy stand around him ready for what’s coming.

PETER PARKER: Good to go? Yeah?

GROOT: I am Groot (Let’s do it).

PETER PARKER: Okay, remember: Everyone Thanos snapped away a month ago, you’re just bringing them back to now, today.

DOCTOR STRANGE: Don’t change anything from the last month.

GAMORA: Please be okay, Groot.

GROOT: I am Groot (Good).

Everyone present in the workshop gets into their “brace yourselves for impact” positions.

PETER PARKER: Karen, do me a favor and activate Barn Door Protcal. Will you?

KAREN: Yes, Boss.

The entire compound closes over.

GROOT: I am Groot (Everybody comes home).

Groot slowly puts on the Vibranium Gauntlet. Then the moment the Vibranium Gauntlet is on, the energy of the Infinity Stones flows through Groot who at first screams in pain but then is able to stand up straight and focus. And then Groot raises the Vibranium Gauntlet in the air and snaps his fingers which causes the fifty percent that Thanos wiped out a month ago to come back. The Vibranium Gauntlet then falls off of Groot’s arm and onto the ground. As it turns out, Groot is right that being born out of wood has made him resistant to the energy of the Infinity Stones and it doesn’t take long for Groot’s arm to regenerate and heal. Scott Lang and Loki walk over to the windows viewing the outdoor porch surrounded by the entire compound to hear birds chirping.

SCOTT LANG (to the surviving Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy): Guys, I think it worked.

LOKI (agreeing): It looks like it did.
