(cut to War Meggy in her room, sitting on a chair, looking at the TV just out of shot. She is grumbling, a bottle of water on the floor beside her)
W.Meggy: Stupid Marina...stupid Squid Sisters...stupid Manga characters!
(she grabs a remote and turns the TV on)
W.Meggy: Ah well...there’s only one thing left to do. And that’s see if my stupid noodle version is worse off than me. Let’s see if she loses. Heh heh! That’d be fun!
(Caption: One Decent 44 Minute Movie Later)
TV: And the Winner is...THE SPLATSQUAD!
(War Meggy is staring at the TV, slack-jawed and in shock. Human Meggy won after-all. Cut to a scene of her holding her trophy in victory, smiling and crying joyfully)
Announcer: Meggy Spletzer, you have just won the final Splatfest! Any words for the crowd?
H.Meggy: I’d just (sniff) like to thank everyone who helped me get here...Mario, Luigi, Tari, Axol, Boopkins...and, Desti. I know we may have had our differences, but after her...passing, she had one request for me. Win Splatfest. So, I did it, Desti. This is for you...
(Cut to War Meggy, her expression slowly growing angrier and angrier by the second)
TV: You heard it here, folks! Meggy has just won Finalfest, all in the name of Desti Derriberri! Give her a hand for her friendship, folks!
W.Meggy: NnnnnnnnnnnnnnNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHG!!!
(cut to outside the Hotel. War Marie and War Callie are now walking along, in their normal clothes)
W.Marie: Hoo boy...Restorator healing feels so DAMN GOOD! How do you do it?
W.Callie: I...dunno. I suppose I could ask Karsum, he’s all about this. I mean, he IS this-
(there is an explosion of wood and metal, alongside a roaring scream. War Meggy is shown in shot, the Hotel door having come flying off its hinges. An absolutely LIVID War Meggy is screaming ferociously, sledgehammer in hand)
Sound Effect: BOOM!
W.Meggy: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(War Meggy begins running to the Armoury, screaming all the while)
W.Meggy: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(cut to War Marie)
W.Marie: The hell is she doing?!
W.Callie: She’s heading for the Armoury!

I mean, fair enough. Her story is over...shame she died as a part of another character and not a character in her own right despite what people like to think BUT OH WELL. I'm just happy he didn't pull the bad move of reviving her. Though, I wouldn't say no to a "what if" human model...

I still feel like she should have gotten more screen time and development when she was alive so that her death would've felt more impactful than it did. Glad the revival didn't happen, too.

I must admit, I don't like Desti. She was developed too late and killed too early.

I was okay with her at first, but rewatching the episodes she's on... Doing so made me not like her (and yet I still made that render of her that doesn't use too much yellow lighting because hooray, boredom and doing a favor) due to finding out she's lacking as her own character. She should have stayed longer... Becoming a friend and not just a jerky rival felt sudden.
Doesn't help with the fact that her supposed rival/enemy replacements for Meggy in the movie weren't given enough focus. I was hoping it would have someone related to Desti to make the final Splatfest/tournament be more personal, to be honest.
