So yeah, there's one of the big bombshells I was going to have with the WarMeg arc; War Leader was working with Shadowmonger pretty much the entire time. Stuck in the Dark Aether with no way out, War Leader would collaborate with War Melony in secret on how to propell Shadowmonger's plans forward as quickly as possible. It was she who placed all of the Staff pieces in one universe, duped Traveller into getting a team of Meggies and then got him and them to collect all the pieces in one go and inadvertantly create the ritual needed to release Karsum from his prison. He'd be super confused as to WHY...and then War Leader backstabs him, runs to the universe where Shadowmonger is imprisoned in the other Meggy's body, and releases her by taking the headband off. Freed, Shadowmonger would thank War Leader for her important contributions...by burning her to a crisp, killing her.

Yeah. She was never going to survive the WarMeg arc. Not many were. But now that such is dead in the ground due to...yeah, things have changed. She'll be spared...sort of. You'll see in the next chapter. Sorry this one was so late, btw. Was super busy today, emergency doctor appointment to get this fucking eczema in line. It's...better? Let's hope it gets further so.
