Many things to post, so little time. Again. Considering we're not getting any SMG4 stuff this week, I feel it'd be fair to post the leftover Meggy stuff before I get back to work on comics. I'm finally on me meds, I'm feeling better already, I feel like I can work on stuff again. So I will.

Anyway, Meggs and their Pets! Truth be told when Meggy's cat was first introduced, I didn't like the idea. The problem with it was the setup, how we were told she had a cat. It's just a joke at the end of Mario's Bed and Breakfast, a completely random joke that comes effectively out of nowhere. She just has a cat now, despite the fact we were never told this. The problem with the joke is that such a punchline only works in a work with negative continuity, like most cartoons. Modern SMG4 doesn't have negative continuity, things do carry over to later episodes and that's one of the things I LIKE about modern SMG4. So the joke had no setup and an unsatisfying punchline.

But the QnA helped a little with Lizzie Freeman helpfully setting Loaf up in-character (it helps Lizzie's a big cat person, hence why SMG4 gave Meggy one I guess) and even showing a picture of him. I found the model; it's a prop for an old 3D Ed, Edd and Eddy platformer, sadly not a ragdoll so it doesn't move. I imagine SMG4 just went for the first cartoony cat model he had, though knowing the SMG4 fanbase C_Arts will probably make an original Loaf model before the summer. So I'm a little more used to it now, and decided to give my other Meggies pets too. Chonk Meg gets a nice fluffy rabbit because, if you haven't caught on by now, I LOVE rabbits. They're so small and soft and cute and they help with both mine and Hale's depression a lot. So she gets a bunny to help with her's. As for War Meggy...well, I'm not sure it's LEGAL to call your own hypnotised and enslaved double of yourself from another world your "pet", but WarMeg certainly will. Why she thought to show that off in front of the ACTUAL PrimeMeg is another story entirely.
