Sorry I've been a little inactive lately. I've had a pretty rough week, like, shit. But I'm back, for now, so Batch six, let's go people.
1) Callie and Marie's first day in Inkopolis Plaza. They're young, they're not idols, they're equipped with default gear and ready to be utterly steamrolled by Kensa Mains. I wanted to make this its own thing a looooooooooong time ago (hence why it's using the older, bigger Inko Plaza map), with more text and Cuttlefish and TWIST REVEAL it's War Marie watching old tapes sobbing with a carton of ice cream (which, by the way, mood). BUT I couldn't make it work. So have this.
Callie: Marie! MARIE! Look at this place! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! I wanna go to the shops and play the arcade games and see the shows and play Turf War ALL DAY-
Marie: Keep it calm, cousin. Remember what Gramps said, don't run off. Now come on, let's have some fun.
2) Marja and Ve, sharing a little moment of quiet, loving bonding. Just sitting on a dock in a world made of cubes, staring into the wonderful sunset, embraced in each other's grasp.
3) So, a dumb headcanon I have is that seaweed is absolutely a recreational drug in the Splatoon world from the pun potential alone. Another dumb headcanon I have is that Marie tokes that stuff all day long to keep herself calm during the hectic day of an idol and news reporter. The others decide to join her, see what it's like. Results are...mixed.
Marie: Mmm, that's some good seaweed. I can practically feel my worries melt away right now. How're you gals gettin' along?
Callie: Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude...
Marina: Pearlie...it's a bad trip, Pearlie! I'm back in the Domes, Pearlie! I CAN STILL HEAR THE SCREAMS, PEARLIE!
Pearl: What is this weaksauce? I can't even taste this stuff, let alone get high off it. The shell your dealer cut this stuff with, matcha powder?!
4) This be me making another dupe of another Octoling for another friend of mine. This, is Taiku. She belongs to , and is one of the many Octolings to escape to the surface following Octo Expansion. She lives in an abandoned building with like 39 other Octolings and a smol axolotl. She rides a motorbike, probably not THIS model but I've yet to find a good classical one, and she is hooligan. She's kind of a jerk. I love her.
