Okay so while Firebase Z is still downloading for Cold War, I might as well upload something I made yesterday. See, at some point in the week, more Splatoon maps got ported and hit the GMOD Workshop; the shooting range of Splatoon 2, a new version of Inkopolis Square that includes all the event variations...and the tutorial area for 2. Now normally you'd only ever see this twice in the game ever; at the start of a brand new save, and in the Octo Expansion version, which I can't tell is a lazy or clever re-use of assets. Either way you're generally not paying attention in the former scenario, and I'm still trying to blot out the latter, so details in it get missed.

But the tutorial does have a lot of interesting locales you can explore in GMOD, though as you can expect, most of them are empty. However, at the very, very end of the map, there's this record shop. It's big, its got an empty second floor that's perfect for putting props, it has tables and chairs. And for a background thing, not only does it have decent textures, but also collision and few gaps in the architecture; just one running along the back wall and the floor that's piss easy to cover up with camera angles. So I decided to make a little scene for it. And just like Bio's Birthday Bash, the rectangular building means an overall viewing angle is impossible, so I went with multiple;

1: First, an overview of the establishment. And yes, before we go any further, there ARE hand sanitiser bottles everywhere. Why? Sort of a half-joke that I kind of forgot about. Well no I was going to go "haha current events" but the Squidster models don't like wearing facemasks; you need to manually edit the bone they're placed on...aaaand the hats merge to the same one. So that went out the window.

2: Demi's paying a visit to the record shop, looking for training music for...well, training. And she runs into an old friend, of sorts.

Demi: Flotilla! I haven't seen you in months! How did you end up here? I thought you were part of a team.

Flotilla: Yeah, that fell through big time. Leader was one of those "human bad want trophy" types, I got caught up in the mess. Got our asses kicked by some orange-hair and team fell apart. Ended up here to pay the bills.

3: Callie checking out some "new" Retro Splattershots. I think it'd be quite neat if Splatoon 3 had "legacy" versions of some weapons, that'd make for some neat reskins. There was supposed to be a Jellyfish there pointing things out to her, but those models are kind of hard to pose because they're so small and all their bones overlap. So I removed him.

4: Agent 3 and Agent 8 have some discussion, mainly about 8's new hairstyle. I know some Splatoon fans, mainly on Twitter, love the undercut style (turns out some concept art showed it once being a thing for Octolings before we just got two), and there exists a dupe for it on the workshop, so I decided why not, and used it.

5: Likewise, Marie and Agent 4 have their own discussion. Agent 4 is getting her up to speed on the new-fangled music of Off the Hook and those new SPLAT AM types, and Marie is realising that Agent 4 isn't exactly the needy type after all. And they even have some...unusual drinks at their disposal. I think Marie probably should be careful of her's.

6: Speaking of, here's SPLAT AM! Haven't used them much, should use them more. They're doing an interview to an unseen camera here about their own music and how things are going back home while they're on holiday. Come to think of it, this sort of wall style would be a perfect kind of base for their own News Room. Hmm...

7: And finally, we have a brand new Woomy, fresh off the train and ready to enter the Square and start her conquest of the Turf. Splattershot Jr in hand, White Headband on head, she ventures into her future. Wish her luck!
