Description
"I am completely immune to the allures of guys with creepy-pale, shimmering skin and golden eyes...oh wait." -- The Master PlannerSo far, 15 separate people have asked me to go see the Breaking Dawn, Eclipse, New Moon, or Twilight movies with them. Some have asked more than once.
And I always tell them: "

And they never get it
Wow, I'm surprised at all the positive reaction (aka I haven't received any flames yet from pedwardbear-humpers). I think that's because I always meant for this stamp to be as much a pro-Star Trek and pro-Data stamp as it is an anti-Twitard one. If you want undiluted anti-Twilight venom, there's the work of the ubiquitous ~Persnicketese and even my own Stamp 02 . I'm just pointing out, in an amusing way, that unnaturally pale, golden-eyed guys weren't invented by Stephanie Meyer. Not even unnaturally pale, golden-eyed guys who are also jealous, abusive, selfish, overly emotional, and manipulative (see: [link] )
Anywhoo.

but...but....but it states why Data is, in fact, a gabillion times more awesome than Edward Cullen, therefore it is made of win!

I'm going to tell my friend this now.
She plans on dragging me to her house when she gets the dvd.
No. : |
On top of that she laughs at me for liking Star Trek. At least watch the damn thing. I gave Twilight a chance.

Data is SO much better than Edward. And Data isn't a stalker.

Data is ten times better than Edward.

Illun In reply to Grasshopper16 [2010-10-02 03:51:09 +0000 UTC]
Data started out as an emotionless android with more character and appeal than Edward. He was an android and even he knew not to sparkle.
Teasing aside, Brent Spiner was also a much better actor. He managed to make people care about a robot that couldn't show emotion, yet through subtle expression managed to convey it powerfully anyway. I don't know if he could have salvaged sparkling vampires though. I know the author was trying to be clever with that explanation of the vampire's sun sensitivity, but it just didn't convey well on screen with no acting talent to divert attention from it.

Once I rented TNG thru the mail but it took me forever to finish them and mail it back so I was paying a sh*t ton of money on it so I finally cancelled my subscription.

JLMacDonald In reply to MasterPlanner [2010-03-12 12:54:08 +0000 UTC]
ha ha ha That works! I'm *trying* to save up for the full series and buy it in one shot. It actually ends up being less expensive that way in the long run. And I'm not sure if the boxed set for the full series contains different behind the scenes stuff than buying each season separately.
I did start buying the seasons when they first came out years and years ago, but I lent them to a friend and never got them back. I was NOT impressed cause that was several hundred dollars worth.
