Description
"Learn about art, Captain..."The Master Planner is submitting Star Wars fanart?!
But that's okay, because the newest addition to my ever-popular Plushie Madness subgallery is the Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo (but you can call him Thrawn for short
If TVTropes.org published a dictionary and you opened it to the entry for Magnificent Bastard it would have a picture of Thrawn for illustration. Because any fucker can kick ass when you've a lightsaber and the Force...when you can kick everyone's ass and nearly break the New Republic with no special abilities except a genius IQ and the ability to tell your opponent's personality and tactics just by studying art that they've drawn, and when the notoriously racist and sexist Empire breaks their "no aliens" rule to hire your blue ass, then you're on the Master Planner's win list.
For more information, read Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command, as well as Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future, the sequel duology, and Outbound Flight, the prequel.
Or if you're a lazy piece of shit, read this: [link]
I remade this plushie after three years and I'm still not entirely satisfied with the picture. But I did make a better ysalamir this time around! Oh and before you ask, an ysalamir is a creature who developed the ability to repel the Force as a defense mechanism against predators. Hey, when you have to work around Sith Lords and mad Jedi every day, you take precautions.
"Stands" approximately 13" tall. Materials for Thrawn include Loops and Threads Impeccable in clear blue; Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic in white, black; Plymouth 24K in gold; Cascade Yarns Pima Tencel in midnight; DMC embroidery floss; buttons; FolkArt and Americana acrylic paints. Materials for happy ysalamir include Bernat Satin in goldenrod, pipe cleaners, and safety eyes.

My clubs, including , have permission to post this in their club galleries.

That's the cutest Thrawn ever, and the cutest thing I've seen in months. I love that little point that forms his noise. He even has a pet.
D'awww the cuteness!

I designed the basic crochet patterns for each amigurumi myself, then customize it for clothing and accessories/pets for each character

Funny story: This one time while I was waiting for the bus home and rereading my copy of Heir to the Empire, a girl decides to strike up conversation with me. She asks what I'm reading. I reply "Star Wars novel...I'm a science fiction nerd."
So she says something akin to "Omg! I love sci fi too! My favorite is Avatar! You love it too right?!"
" ...Let me explain something. In Avatar the good guys are blue aliens and the villains are from a republic. ...In this (holds up book) the good guys are the Republic and the villain is a blue alien."

Have you read his book series?
(The eyes were just round black 3/4" buttons I painted red with acrylic paint and gloss finish because I couldn't find any suitable red buttons. )
