Description First (sort of) fully digital rendered image I've done.

Things to be soon applied (update later when it's cleaned up):
shadow cast
shine (maybe)
background
form definition on face and skin especially
clean up pencil scan lines
directional lighting
make less blotchy

Yes, I know the anatomy is off, but I'm concentrating more on rendering at this point.

coloring is much better in this one. very smooth and no blotchy areas. i like the strange threading going through the costume. it not only helps to break up the areas a bit but also adds a lot of emphasis on the limbs and structure of the figure. i like how the edges of the hair and fabric are slightly blurred. this gives a better sense of movement. I think if the limbs and blades were done in the same way it would help convey this effect a bit more.

and i really like the eyes and lips of the figure, makes her look quite lifelike. I'd like to see some more emotions in your characters though...

this is looking great! you might want to consider that color theory stuff i was telling you about. shade with blues and purples since they are complimentary to the oranges and yellows in the skin tones. but exelent work with your rendering. i don't have the patience and understanding to paint in the computer. i never finish. i think it would help if i had had a computer class to help me learn.

Thanks, I did think about adding some of those colours you mentioned above on the skin, but I won't be applying them until I figure out the background and the mode of lighting (e.g. early morning blue, or orange/red/pinkish sunset), so for now the lighting is plain white while the setting is blank.

I could do with a class learning myself! Ehe! I'm a bit scared contemplating how to digitally render a picture in realistic form. Gah! Gih! Goo!

Strings, strings gallore...from the knuckles to the wrist, to the shoulder, to the neck, to the waist...*follows picture around* Love her eyes, too. They really stand out.
