Aosta Valley, Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg are part of Switzerland but Canton of Grisons is an independent country, Republic of Grisons, having three official languages: German, Romansh and Italian. The whole historic region of Tyrol is another independent country, having two official languages: German and Italian. Its capital city is Innsbruck. Finally, rest of current Austria and Bavaria form the Austro-Bavarian Federal Republic, whose capital city is Vienna.Other important cities are shown. Names in respective official languages.

Maybe you're interested in the Italian name of Innsbruck: Enoponte (from Latin Oeniponte) and Ponteno were both used in the past, as well as, more recently, Isprucco.

German is as hard and messy as Latin... XD
