The Lake District, Christmas 2006.Sunset in Borrowdale valley.
Taken with a Nikon D80, 18-70mm lens.
Three exposures (combined as HDR with custom tonemapping curve).
Edited for curves, etc.

What I love about your photography is that you can capture the essence of stillniss and beauty of nature and the environment your in, but also convey a feeling of expectation, a wonder lust to see whats around the next corner.

This shot is great. The one thing this shot has that irritates me with the way HDR is are the small halos around the branches in the smaller details. That is beyond your control but it can be dampened with the amount of light smoothing that you use, as well as post editing if you choose to do it. Looks like you use high light smoothing which is the best way to go.

Excellent shot. So many moods in one picture, I've really enjoyed exploring it and can imagine myself walking up the road, across the fields and back up into the woods. In fact I feel as if I've had a morning out and haven't left my computer yet.
