Now, I do have a question I'm sure anyone that's a fan of Shantae would ask, if you are intrigued enough to answer: What was the story behind you getting Shantae created in the first place? Were you a down-on-your-luck kinda guy that, by a miracle, was given the chance to shine in the gaming industry like Rayman's Mr. Ancel? Or were you just wanting to make a game about a belly-dancing half-genie and a she-pirate just for fun, only to end up making something truly spectacular?
Whatever the case, keep up the great work, and the great art! Speaking of which, I should probably go draw some more Shantae fanshipping: it seems there isn't much/enough in the good artwork department concerning this game!

I have just discovered the awesomeness of Shantae. For the last few days, I've been watching let's plays of the original game because again I just heard of it recently and after watching all of the first game to see what the hype was about I finally got risky's revenge on the 3ds shop. I hope to see more of Shantae, Rottytops, Sky, and even Risky in the future! Thank you for making such an awesome game Matt!

I like this style of Shantae more than the older designs used for the GBC game. It reminds me of how Sega Genesis Sonic got redrawn into the Dreamcast Sonic. That's good-old VGCDE (video game character design evolution)

Woah!! You're, like, the genuine article! Yes, that's super cool. Not being able to beat the game is kind of normal unfortunately. One of the testers used to max out his gems dancing, then buy 99 invisibility cremes and just run to the end of the game nonstop. I think he had the speed run record at something like 2 hours. I don't remember if you can still do that in the final shipped version of the game, but the tactic might still hold water.
