The SSRN Seaview designed by Admiral Harriman Neslon, from the Sci-Fi Adventure TV Series and feature film 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' created by Irwin Allen.
The Seaview was first seen in the 1961 hit movie, and then in 4 seasons of the TV Series throughout the 1960s. In the movie, one of the visiting VIPs aboard the submarine describes the vast lounge in the bow as 'exotic'.
L.B. Abbott's visual effects team made the ship highly credible.
I am not sure who designed the Seaview for the screen - I believe Herman Bluementhall, William Creber, Jack Martin Smith and L.B. Abbott. If anbyone knows for sure, please let me know.
