To install script updates, you need to enable the layout editing mode in foobar. (View > Layout > Enable layout editing mode) Right-click on the script you want to update and click Configure... Now click import and browse to the downloaded txt file. Make sure to turn the layout editing mode off once you are done!
foo_silk 4.0
foo_silk 4.0 is a DUI theme for foobar2000 for people who use Last.fm.
I rewrote most of the scripts from the beta version and made some minor changes to the layout. I also included an update checker. If there are problems or if you have ideas please let me know!

I have 2 issues:
1 - foo_silk-artistartΒ don't download
2 - foo_silk-lastfm don't show statistics about my user. Maybe it's hide, i don't know.

Sorry for my late reply.
The first error might be caused by the fact that the art application which is used to download the artist art can't find any images.
The second error is because your foobar window is a bit too small. If you make the foo_silk-lastfm script window a bit larger than you will find your stats right below your avatar.

I have the same problem with foo_silk-artistart. I recently did a fresh install and upgraded the script, but still no artist images even when I try popular artists that I know have images to grab.

It seems that the application (which is used to grab the artist images) stopped working due a change in the Last.fm API. I don't have a good solution for now, however, I'm still planning on releasing some of the new stuff I have been doing for this project. I just don't have enough time to polish it into something to put out in the open.

I got one problem the 2 artwork images dont realy fit the main cd cover is taking 2/3 of the space being centered and the second is being kinda squshed eny sugetion, its bothering my eye

I'm not sure how this works... Do I still use last.fm through the website itself and just have foobar running? How do I get last.fm to play from within foobar...

Great theme but I can't make it work properly. The last.fm info are not showing. I am behind a proxy but that is set in Networking in fb2k. Scrobbling works perfectly and I can also get last.fm info from Library menu. But those panels on the top are empty, keeps saying "Hold on!". Even if I manually try to get artist pic, no pic comes.

For some reason why I updated the scrip to the album art I am not unable to adjust the size of it. Is there something I did wrong?

Just an idea that's been on my head for a while... would be cool if the last.fm plugin could display as well stats for all the users (top charts) or the most played songs by a given artists. Everytime I stumble with an artist I don't know, I always check their most played songs in last.fm, it quickly tells me their most known songs - which in many cases turn to be their best songs.

For now, whenever I listen to some unfamiliar artist I have to settle with two buttons in my config [link] . One goes to Last.fm Artist Biography (round black button) and the other goes to Last.fm Artist Top Tracks (round blue button).

What else is needed to get it work?

In step 5. of the instruction manual thing I can't find the AudioScrobbler, and when I skipped that step I couldn't find βfoo_silk 4.0.fthβ anywhere either.. Can you tell me where I messed up or where to find these pleasee? If I get this to work I'm pretty sure it would be epic, thanks.

Oh, thanks. But now I have another problem. The top artist charts aren't showing. Instead, "foo_silk-lastfm 1.3" shows. The artist art isn't showing either, and neither is anything in the .nfoo column. Also, the automatic artist/album art downloader needs this thing called COM Automation Server to work, and to make it work I need to access commandline.. but I have no idea at all where I can access it from or how.

Make sure you follow the instructions.

I wonder if you could help me with one thing. Because of my foobar layout, I do not like the bars in red. Is it possible to change the color of the bars to something else like a tone of blue?

To change the colors:
Goto: %appdata%/foobar2000/foo_silk/scripts/ (you can simply paste this in your adress bar or in a run window)
There open foo_silk.js with a text editor.
Scroll down to the bottom lines 211 & 212.
There you can edit the RGB values into anyting you like.
for exmpale use this:
var clr_red = RGB(90,40,255);
var clr_red2 = RGB(90,40,220);

Can I trouble you with the request for a quick clarification, please! Regarding those 4 values beneath the avatar, can you please tell me what they refer to exactly? The reason I am asking is that I suddenly noticed there seems to be an illogical counting in the last.fm script as you can see in the print from my previous post. I think the counting to βper monthβ should be considerably lower than total βplaysβ. Am I mistaken? Can this relate to the fact I am a new last.fm user?

Yea these values are averages. So per month refers to the average tracks played per month if you keep listening with this number of tracks per day.

I think this is the solution to your problem:
Hold your mouse under the waveseekbar till you get a vertical resize pointer, then drag it down.
If not, then please reupload your pictures to another host.

OH and another thing:
I included foo_silk-playcount 1.1 in a wsh panel, too.
BUt every time i start foobar it tells me its crashed...
If i right click it, go to configure and closee the config window without doing anything it starts to work quite fine.
(some how i cant love tracks by just clicking the icon but i think i failed setting it up and ill read your Guide again)
