This is an awesome comic and soo true just saw for the 1st time what megatron looks like and OMFG! so not cool. They need to keep it true to the comics or there are going to be many disappointed and mad fans out there

Personally, I don't mind Optimus having a new design. I would have prefered Prime to have his original look, but since he's had so many different designs over the years, it just doesn't phase me that much.

Though in your case, that might be more like a "Pimp My Ride" makeover...

I most definately agree with lil Prime here. I've seen a couple of the movie designs and they look aaaalll screwed up. 
Prime looks so cute depite the madness, lol. Thankies for this, I've had a long day and needed the laugh.

I haven't seen any of the new movie designs, so for me, it's a moot joke. If anyone knows where I can find them, this joke will probably be more effective.

Keep scrolling down for more designs. My main problem with them is that they're just plain lazy designs. They're the easiest thing they could've of come up with, very little effort put into them.

The designs are unbearably flashy, and they lack any real balance. They almost look satanic to the point where it's not funny. Megatron in particular looks far too alien-like, and he is supposed to transform into a gun, not a weard looking aircraft. I loved the G1 Megatron as well as the one in BeastWars, but this new look is just flat-out ugly. Optimus actually looks pretty cool. The red and blue go well together.
The designs are such a radical shift from even the last TF installment, that it will be a huge turn-off for long-time fans. Unless it has a top-notch script, and I doubt that 5 pages worth of dialogue is going to win any oskars, I will probably not be seeing this movie.

How do you make a tiny gun turn into a giant robot? He didn't have time to get a new form. Also I saw the movie (twice) it's awesome! And cool comic, pal, congrats.

One problem with the idea of Megatron's alternate mode being a gun: Guns don't have enough mass in them for Megatron to realistically disguise himself as one, plus the fact that in ROTF he ordered the Decepticons to not take up a terrestrial alt-mode, which is why he kept his Cybertronian alt-modes until DOTM, in which he took the form of a Mad Max style oil tanker truck, plus the fact that it is far more realistic for him to not take up any terrestrial alt-modes, besides, the alt-mode that he had in DOTM matched his personality. It would be far more realistic for him to have a vehicle mode that has the exact same amount of mass as his robot mode, due to the fact that mass shifting is an impossible occurrence.

To be honest, what would you prefer. a complete copy of the G1 characters, block arms and legs and very basic designs. or something new and worth parting money to see.
I think that the new designs pretty cool. He looks something like the origonal, but has had a revamp.... i just wanna see the movie ^^

I got to say it.... I was a little disapointed when I saw the movie designs for Optimus Prime
the Transfromation to the face and even the colors -.-
over all he is in better status then Megatron's design XD

Right on! I think my biggest problem with the movie version would be Optimus' face redesign. Gone is the strong warm structure from my childhood, now replaced with a facsimile that resembles an insect more.
Definitely a fav.

Even Optimus complains! This is too great lol! Generally I hate almost all the designs for the movie, save for perhaps Bumblebee and Brawl, but even then I have my reservations. I think the whole Energon Cube and the gthing about Cybertron being blown up has to go. Immediatly!
