I love the fact that Bay Prime is acting like an ass to his counterparts . Seriously Bay Prime needs to take a chill pill (I think TF4 sent him over the edge) .

People diss TFA for no reason, the style is very nice and unique and quite frankly the show overall is better than G1, Prime or Beast Wars.

WhileΒ I agree that Animated is a lot better than people give it credit for, I wouldn't say it's inherently better or worse than Prime or Beast Wars.Β MAYBE Gen 1 at a stretch if you remove the nostalgia goggles, especially in terms of overall plot and animation.
I especially liked all the tongue-in-cheek references to pretty much EVERY season. The changes they made to the mythos were interesting too.

"Low Budget Animation"? I'm sorry, but are you kidding? It's one of the best shows animation-wise from the mid-2000s, all thanks to the fact that japanese animators helped in the project, and ask anyone who knows about Transformers, they'll agree with the statement that this is one of the best shows alongside Beast Wars, Prime and G1.

Sorry, i found it really jittery and unwatchable due to the lowered number of frames. Just can't compare to the slick animation of a similarly styled show like Teen Titans.

Actually, I think someone from Teen Titans (who also worked on Ben 10) helped with the artstyle of TFA. I think, anyway.
It might not fit, but at least it's different. Through the 80s, 90s and early 2000s the Transformers looked like they were made out of mentos or cubes. TFA decided to make all robots look different and give them more of a personality with the designs, which I think worked. Then again, TFA was my first TF series, so I don't know how the perspective changes if you're a G1 or Bayformers fan.

I know that. I love Beast Wars as much as Animated. Prime lacks some charm, but it's close behind. Story-wise, I prefer TFA, but the story in Beast Wars is good too.

If I had to pic my favourites from both TFA and BW, it would be Prowl and Dinobot, and Dinobot is clearly better. Heck, Dinobot just might be the best Transformer ever.

So far I've seen TFA Soundwave (who was more of a comedic relief, but definetely had the most rerrifying voice) and TFP Soundwave (who didn't do much, and when he did, it wasn't really anything spectacular). I still have to see all of G1, and Soundwave might surprise me there.

I think Soundwave's the best cause, not only is he a total bro to Megatron, he's also a great spy.
Honestly, whenever you mention Prime, it feels more and more like you never actually watched it, or at the very least, seen enough of it.
He's not supposed to be super spectacular, cause he's supposed to be mysterious.

And really, they give him a lot of atmosphere and mystery, but then he just says ONE line (it might be epic, depending if you're a G1 fan or not) and later gets defeated in the most pathetic way possible. It's a total letdown. And what bothers me more is that his Decepticon allies don't even try to rescue him.
I understand that he's not ment to be a raw power bad-ass, but he does pretty much nothing on Prime. Even in G1, I've already watched a few episodes and his voice alone sells his cold-blooded robotic personality.Β

Not pathetic, and so what if it's one line? It's the meaning and weight behind the line. They're as close as they can be to get information from him, so Soundwave beats them to the punch by erasing all his data, then proceeds to taunt them by saying he's better than them. Pay attention dude! o-o

Exactly Bay Prime attempts to be the most "sad" version of Optimus but fails miserably . Let's hope the new writers for tf5 don't fuck up .

I wouldn't hold my breath. The Bayformers just need to be fucking cancelled... Sooner or later, his manipulation of the lowest common denominator is going to stop, and people are going to stop paying to see his shitty-as-fuck movies. Eventually, the Transformers franchise will need a film series reboot...
... That's where I come in, hopefully.

It seems like TF5 will be Bay's last Transformers film (possibly) but I agree Bayformers NEEDS to end at some point and given the writer's room established for later Transformers films ... they are not going to stop anytime soon .

I REALLY hope The Last Knight ends up being The Last Bayformers, but considering that Bay already pulled that trick on us by saying Age of Extinction would be his last Transformers movie before its release, and then he threw in that cliffhanger involving the Quintessons "Creators" at the last minute... fucking manipulative asshole. XP We can only hope he really means it this time... right?

To be honest, just about every other version of Optimus Prime would also rather martyr themself than have to destroy their own brother. Also, I personally like the complexity of the movie version of Optimus. However, out of these... Optimus Primal, probably. He died saving EVERY SINGLE SPARK on Cybertron, and killing Megatron in the process.
