I'll say this for Transformers Repaints - they're pretty much the only fandom where recolouring and remolding canon characters is an ACCEPTABLE method of making an original character.
I mean, can you imagine if you went into the Sonic fandom and made a fan character and said "He looked just like Sonic, only he was green and had a scar on his chest"?
But in Transformers you can actually make a character that looks exactly like Arcee except she's black and white (or blue), and nobody will complain. They will accept that this is a perfectly legitamate new character. AWESOME!

Repaints often led to mistaken identity...and that often caused the wrong transformers to be called their names!

I've got so many idea's repaints jokes like when Cybertron Jetfire tries to disguise himself as Skyshadow but ends up getting beaten up Cybertron Megatron for his pathetic disguise and yells at Brushguard if he was Overhaul who turn back from Leobreaker
