Damn that looks awesome! I just thought of this Hobgoblin as a Standard Light mech and I would think it would work well with two ER Medium Lasers with an Improved LRM5... Well I would love it with an MML 5 but can't have everything.

Rather than a baby I would think of a parasite. Excellent artwork. I love you Protomech designs, they are far better for industrial mass production than the originals.

like the original hobgoblin, this one makes use of magnetic clamp systems. To allow it to get a piggy back ride from a larger and presumably faster, mech.
Sometime, I'm going to have to do a picture of a mech with a protomech riding on it. I just can't seem to think about it without thinking it would look somewhat silly. Just picturing an Atlas carrying one like a baby

Attach it to the back of an Osteon. I mean, makes sense, Osteon is a Society Assault, Hobs is a Society proto, plus if it drops off the back its already facing the enemy, so its able to engage almost immediately alongside the mech's its supporting. Could match it with the prime variant as a bodyguard real nicely I think.
