Ok...stupid title, but I couldn't think of anything else...it's Azula, Ty Lee and Mai...my first time drawing all three of them (this is the other half of the page of my sketch book that has "Earth and Water"...so this is actually the first pic I drew of Azula)I wanted to get some experience drawing some Avatar characters that I never draw...and...here it is.
Pretty happy with this. This is mostly markers, a little color pencil.
I don't own any Avatar characters...property of nickelodeon.

Well...Azula's a crazy be-otch...kind of a psycho with no soul...and Mai had a rough childhood that turned her into emo/silent girl...
Ty Lee acts a bit ditzy and she's just naturally bubbly...but it's sort of an act...she's an expert acrobat and she has extensive knowledge of pressure-points in battle...she can paralyze twenty men in a minute.

Ah I see. *Writes down note* Make sure to avoid getting Azula angry and don't get on Ty lee's bad side. Try and make Mai feel better and not dwell on past events for too long.

Yeah she does kind of make Azula and Mai lighten up a little...LoL...did you see the episode called "the Beach" where she's teaching Azula how to flirt? LoL...

Oh good! I'm actually pretty happy with the contest entry so far...but I'm struggling with his hairstyle and facial expression...because he's younger and I wanted to give him that Kingdom Hearts feel.

She's not at all like the other girls...and the most like I was in high school...a cross between her and Toph...two opposite ends of the spectrum, though neither of them really care what others think about them.

Mai and Toph are practically sisters.
Daughters of aristocrats, and they hate it.
Very withdrawn emotionally.
Crushing on ponytailed peeps.
Both love action.
Both have black hair with bangs that hide their eyebrows and make their emotions even harder to read.
They both even share the same pose when their parents come under discussion.

I was thinking more along the lines that Toph is in your face and outspoken while Mai is reclusive and quiet...just gets a little dig in once in a while...
But when you put it like that you're very right! LoL...so...I was a bit of those two characters...Sarcastic and a bit bitter and cynical...sound like a real peach don't I? LoL

All the comments inspired me to work more on drawing Mai...I'm going to try to post it tomorrow...I'm pretty proud of it because it has a BACKGROUND! Unusual for me.
