Description
I'm doing character sketches of the girls of Avatar. I have Ty Lee's lineart done and Mai is still in the sketch phase...I haven't even thought about drawing Azula yet.Plain design but I kind of drew the characters in my own styles...hope you like.
This is mostly marker...very little color pencil.
Avatar characters are property of Nickelodeon not me.

Avatar is an amazing show...I ended up watching it because I was waiting for something else to come on...now I'm hopelessly obsessed.
Synopsis: In a world based on the elements, (Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, Water Tribe and Air Nomads) there are people in each land that can manipulate their native element. Every generation there is born/reincarnated one person that can manipulate all three, he or she is known as the avatar. But, the avatar of this time period has vanished. Shortly afterward, the Fire nation used the power from a comet to attack the other three nations and dominate the world...
100 years after this, the girl in this picture and her brother discovered the missing avatar...who has been frozen in ice...and now apears the same age he was when he was frozen...12 years old.
It's now his job to master all of the elements and stop the Fire nation from destroying the world.
It's really good. The first and second and part of the third seasons are out to rent...HIGHLY recommend it...really.

Sounds pretty good! I may actually check it out then. My friend Brian used to go on and on about how good it was, and I just nodded and smiled. This makes it actually sound pretty interesting!! XD

I actually thought it looked dumb when I first heard about it...but when I started watching it... I was like "This is the best show on T.V...animated or otherwise."
It's being made into a live action trilogy as well!
It's really worthwhile. The people that made the show used a style inspired by Miyazaki...in some episodes like "The Swamp" and "Seige of the North"...you can really tell....beautifully done...and I get the feeling you'll be a fan of Zuko, the banished Fire Nation Prince.

At least I've got a definite style, where you can tell from picture to picture that it's mine...That's something I've tried to work on for a long time...it actually is surprisingly hard to come up with your own "look"
