I had so much fun with this from start to finish. I was sent an adorable family photo to work from and it just emanated joy, and I had a lot of fun recreating it in my own art style. The clothes and poses are the same as the original photo, but the background was designed from scratch.

I've never drawn this many people in a single picture before (I've always maxed out at 3), and I only very rarely draw children (I think I've drawn...three...since 2017?), so I am absolutely tickled about the end result!

This is actually scanned in as two images and pieced together so I didn't lose the edges. Lining up is...interesting. There are places where it lines up perfectly on either edge, but then is a few pixels off in the center (which I only realized after uploading it to Facebook). I've never had that happen? Being off one one side, sure (in which case I rescan), but off in the center but aligned on the edges? Weird.

They're so happpyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and so am I.

9x12" on Strathmore marker paper, done with Copics and multiliners with bits of white gel pen.
