Fourth commission from this slot set! One more, then a quick break (so I can actually have a real day off ), then slots will be open again!

I feel like my commissions swing wildly between high fantasy/sci-fi and serene family portraits with nothing in between.

I finally had the chance/courage to add in some of my Polychromos for detailing and pushing shadows (particularly in the blonde hair/orange sweater with touches elsewhere as well). As much as I love my Copics, alcohol ink isn't the best for super fine-point detailing. Polychromos, however, are built exactly for that purpose.

Part of me wants to take some time to just do landscape studies so I can get better at forests/etc. but most of me knows that I would hold to it for all of 20 minutes before I get bored and start drawing mermaids or something. (Maybe I should just throw mermaids into the landscapes to keep my interest?)

Done with Copic markers and Polychromos pencil crayons on 9x12 Strathmore marker paper.
