Sneak Peak of this year's realistic bird drawing.

"I thought you only drew cartoons???"
The tiny white feather details took a solid 1.5 hours.
That face is 2" square.
I hate realism.

But a very good friend of mine (who does not have social media, so I'm safe posting this) loves birds, so I draw a realistic picture of a bird once a year as a gift. He spoils me rotten all year and I feel like this is the best way I can repay the favour. I wouldn't do this for anyone else.

Hope to get this done this week, but I'm also procrastinating at every opportunity, so we'll see.
