So I heard you liek car insurance

With each new piece for this book I'm hit with how comfortable I've become outside of my comfort zone. If someone had asked me to draw this a year ago I'd have told them that I didn't have the skillset for it and they'd be better off finding another artist, but at this point I just thought "I wonder how I can make this work" and jumped at it.

I'm evolving.

Another one complete! As much as this one is outside my comfort zone, it was an absolute blast to work on. Look at that smiiiiiile. Honestly, I'm thrilled with the result. I would have like to add a touch more shading in the skin, but with the amount of counter-shading in the actual skin I didn't want to make it confusing. I also considered adding a pattern to the pants (they're a touch smooth for my taste) but with how complex the skin pattern was I didn't want it to get chaotic. He provides enough chaos on his own.

Done with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore marker paper.
