Okay, y'all? I did not expect to like this one so much. Figured "it's part of the job so I'll do it but I have no real feelings connected to it." But y'all? Y'all. I LOVE HIM.

Gyaaaaaaaa I'm so happy with him. I'm not sure if it's just because I love bugs or I got to play with translucent effects or the cordyceps or the shades of brown but HHHNNNGGGGH love. Looking at this image makes me immensely proud in a way I didn't expect.
I think it's because it's so far outside my comfort zone but at the same time looks so fully like my own work. It doesn't look like "my attempt" at it, it looks exactly like I wanted it to.
