I've been working on this since the first of January and I'm so glad to be free of it.
"Didn't you avoid it for a week because you didn't want to ink the chains?"
Shh.
(There are 300+ chain links and each individual link required 7-8 layers of colour/ink. I hate me.)

Long story short, a few weeks ago I was hit with inspiration to design a magical girl based on a snow plow. Because that's normal. I kept adding more and more details until the result was this: a full blown Arch Mage. I crammed in as many aspects of the plow as I absolutely could, and in the end I think the staff core is the only thing not directly pulled from the plows.

She looks like an unlockable character in a video game. I like her.

I specifically avoid sci-fi and mecha because I'm really bad at drawing machinery (my brain just doesn't click and it's like pulling teeth), and then my dumb butt decided to do this. I am not a clever man.

To be completely honest, I've been really uninspired by the Unconventional Harpies lately. I realized too late that I didn't want to draw actual harpies, but instead human beings/fae folk based on birds (like the flamingo line art I uploaded), and none of my ideas I had planned out really work with actual harpies. I still want to get about 10 of them done and return to them when I get the inspiration (like with the Unconventional Mermaids), but I need some time away from it. In the end I decided to go with this.

I have lots of plans for these "Unconventional Inspirations" (people based on man-made objects), so I'll throw these in occasionally when I'm uninspired for my current non-paid works. (But none of them are having tires or this many chains. )
