The title isn't going to make sense unless I tell you the hummingbird over the dragon is sticking out it's tongue too
I'm sorry I just couldn't think of a title, so that'll have to do.About 25 hours total. Painter IX wacom intuos tablet. I wanted to play around with textures, especially in the background. This is a very different style background to what I usually make, so it was a good stretch for me. I loved LOVED using the sumi-e pen for the foliage (which is hard to see, I have that layer at about 50% opacity)

I did last year, but no dice. I was pretty depressed afterward (don't ask me why, I wasn't really expecting to get in...but darn! I wanted to!)
I might enter something this year, I'm not sure...still trying to decide if I'm up to it.

yeah.. the lit community had fits over it too.. lol.. bacause mommy and daddy own publishing company, they say he didnt have to go through everything all other authors do/did. Big controversey over how much was/is him and how much is parents.. kinda sad lol.. quit being jealous and enjoy the dang book already!

This image is amazing and well composed! The dragon is so lovely and detailed and the hummingbirds are a wonderful addition. I think the title fits well because the bird could also have said "Have a nice day" to the dragon.
