Description
Day 5. Cinco de Mer-MayoHope everyone had a great Cinco de Mayo.
Sorry this one was a bit late and I'm behind a day. I'm a bit sick right now and finding it hard to stare at a screen and draw.

Hello! I`m from and will try to give you some useful advises! ^^ (Sorry for the possible English mistakes and typos in advance)
It`s a very good picture and great character design! But let`s review all the areas closely c:
Pose. It`s really good! The line of action is so noticeable and it makes the pose alive, keep it up! Don`t have much to say here
Composition. Well, there`s not much of environment so the character gets all the attention. But! It gets a bit lost there because of the irrelevant blank space. For the pictures with the background (like the one that you drew for the 6 day of this challenge) can have compositions where the character can be smaller than the canvas and have such stretched pose. For the pictures that don`t have background is better to make characters big and use kind of contained pose (like on your picture for the 3 day ). Of course, you can do it your way, but at least don`t left so many blank space ^^
The thing that I like about the background is that it has competently placed gradient. It complies with the shading placement. Nice touch!
Shading. You`ve chosen a great color for it! Also, the second layer gives a nice depth. But I think it would be nicer if you`d defined the "folds" on the fins (that come from the arms) like you did with the "folds" on the tail`s fins. Also, I would recommend adding some highlights because she`s a fish-like creature, and they`re shiny с:
Lineart. It`s cool and clean. And I really like that the "outside" lineart is black and the "inside" one is colorful ^^ Thought, I would recommend adding some more little details, like a couple of scales etc.
Colors. They`re pretty pleasure. The color of the background doesn`t "fight" with the character. The only thing that can be improved is contrast. For example, make the eyes and hair a bit darker. It will be more interesting for the viewer. Here`s a little tutorial about the Contrast ^^
Anatomy. I won`t say much about it. The only little problems here is right cheek and hands. There`s tutorial about the cheek problem ru.pinterest.com/pin/782852347… and the hands just need more practicing. GrimChronicles has already pointed one problem about the hands. The second one is that they look pretty tense. Try to use more references
That`s all! I really hope that it was at least a little bit helpful! Also, hope that I didn`t sound rude because I never meant to
Best wishes, have a great time! Keep drawing and you`ll succeed <3

This is a lovely artwork however the first thing that drew my attention was her left hand. She seems to have an extremely long pointer finger compared to the other hand and she also seems to be missing some digits. I think if you add at least one more finger on that hand it will blend in a bit more nicely. The only other thing is the arm fins are vastly different from each other. Other than that this is a wonderful work. Good job.

Thanks for pointing out the left hand! I didn't notice till now, but looking at it again it does seem odd. The angle feels like a bit of palm or at least another finger should definitely be showing.
I also agree with the fins issue. I tried to make them look free-flowing but the base lengths look off now that I'm taking a closer look. I'd say the biggest issue is that the left arm goes from long to short from armpit to finger, while the other arm does it in the opposite direction.
Thank you for pointing out the issues, I'll make sure to try and not repeat them.

Thank you. I do wish that her left and right arm-fins were a bit more even tho.

you are welcome and don't undervalue a compliment. All artist see their own pieces worst than what it actually is that's why when you show a piece to people and they say they like it it's cause it's better than what you originally thought it was.
