Description
How I'd imagine Fluttershy would look posing for a painting. It's a fairly straightforward idea, really.I made this to play a bit with Manga Studio's various watercolor brushes, and as sort of a test to see if I could do shading by hand with it, rather than using layers. I'm pretty happy with the result as Fluttershy ended up looking pretty graceful and cute.
Fluttershy and My Little Pony is property of Hasbro.

Great piece, you really nailed the essentials of Fluttershy's kindness and delicateness. The front legs still need a bit more separation, and you still need more contrast in some parts (the inside of the ears and the shadow that falls into the far eye region, for instance). An excellent job, nevertheless.

Yeah, a day later I can see a few places that could have been done better, too. But, well, it would be a little boring if there wasn't room for improvement. I'm just happy that my first real dabbling with the watercolor brushes turned out this well. That bodes well for the next ones. This is definitely a style I'll be revisiting. It looks good and is fairly quick to do. What's not to like?

That's what I was going for. Graceful, adorable, cute. Fluttershy, in other words.
