Description
Today I present to you, the Stone Mask! It makes you as impressive as a stone...I have a long-term mission to make all 27 masks in Majora's Mask, then eventually all masks from the series. The Stone Mask seemed to be the simplest design, so I figured it would be a good place to start. It's made from expanding insulation foam on a plastic mask that I painted with acrylics and spray paint then textured with dirt and sand. It is completely wearable and has a loop on the back so now it's hanging on the wall in my workshop, lol.
Edit: Thank you everyone for you kind comments and favs! It's awesome to know that people even remember this thing. I can't wait to get some of the other masks done! Also, I do happen to do commissions, so if anyone actually wants a particular mask, let me know and we can hammer out the details!

ehhh, it's one of the masks I slightly dread. I think it'll be easier than I fear, but no matter what it'll be time consuming. Basically I'll be making a clay original, cast it in plastic, then dremmel out all of the negative spaces O_O

If you don't mind me asking, what plastic do you use?
For the shell for my silicone mask molds, I use easyflo 120.

I use Smooth-cast 300, 300Q for anything quick. Haha 300 has a 10 min cure time, which can be a pain for slush casting masks, so I tried the Q, which has a three minute cure time, only for that too be too fast and I ended up with lumps of plastic in random places. So what I've done is I'll use 1 part 300 with 1 part Q and have a decent amount of time to work XD

Haha oh man, this mask! This Mask! It looks amazing, by the by. I love it! I can't wait to see the other masks! I loved the Zora mask the most, and the Bremen and Fierce Deity Masks as well.

Yup, and has a strap on it so it can actually be worn around as well as a loop so it can be mounted on the wall

for Majora's Mask, if you use a heart-shaped cake pan for the shape, it works pretty well.
