Clere was almost upon the planet, slowly rotating before her like a big red celestial gumdrop. Slowly the dragon's jaws moved to envelop the prey, oblivious of and uncaring to the millions of demons on the surface. As that world's final eclipse neared completion, a presence appeared closeby that shook the demons to the core. Its light drew Clere's attention, but not enough to dissuade her from her meal.
