Description This assassin bug (Peirates hybridus) used to be incredibly rare, to the point that it hasn't been reported where I live for many years (apparently the last report was from the 1940s). But in 1998 it has been rediscovered and since then seems to be on the rise again, but it's still classified as critically endangered.
