Resisting a rest

After three days of being in a comatose state, Sonic finally regained consciousness. Tails walks over to Sonic with tears in his eyes, happy to see his dear friend awake again. “Sonic! I’m so glad you’re awake!” said Tails. “Oh hey little buddy, ugh…..how long was I out?” said Sonic in a somewhat groggy tone. “You’ve been unconscious for three days, everyone’s been worried sick about you, especially Amy.” Explained Tails.

Shocked about the revelation, Sonic sits up and gets himself out of bed. “Three days!? No wonder I feel so groggy! I haven’t eaten a single chili dog for three whole days! I better get one right away!” Sonic gets ready to make a run for it but Tails stops him before he can make a move. “Sonic no! You’re in no condition to be running right now! You need to relax! I’ll get you a chili dog myself. You just rest easy for today” advised Tails. Sonic looks down in disappointment upon hearing about his current state, but doesn’t deny the fact. “You’re right buddy….thanks….I’ll try to relax…” said Sonic with uneasiness. “Alright I’ll be right back, call me if anything happens.” said Tails as he makes his way out of his house.

Not long after Tails left his house, Sonic started to get annoyed by his situation and decided to look around town. Remembering what Tails said, Sonic tried his best to try not to run but he’s finding it difficult to even walk. “Come on Sonic, you can do this….it’s just walking….” thought Sonic to himself, motivating him keep going. After regaining mobility on his legs, Sonic was happy to try running only to stumble and fall over. “Guess I’m not fully ready yet” thought Sonic as he got back on his feet. Giving up, Sonic just walks around town and tries to take it easy, not knowing of the eminent danger that he has put himself in.
