Raiders of the lost temple (cont.)

Sonic and Tails make their way into temple, looking around and being cautious of potential traps. “This is incredible! These murals are depicting a story though I’m not sure what it’s about yet…..I’ll look into it” said Tails as he was looking at the pictures on the walls.

A faint glow is seen in the distance, which catches Sonic’s attention. “Hey Tails! I think I see something up ahead” said Sonic and he starts to feel drawn to the glow. Tails takes pictures of the murals and follows Sonic deeper into the temple. Deep inside the temple they see a small glowing light on top of a small pillar in the middle of the room.

Both Sonic and Tails stare in awe at it, wondering what it could be. “Incredible! I didn’t think we’d find something like this here! I should analyze it before we do anything else” said Tails, but his words fall of deaf ears as Sonic slowly walks toward the light, reaching for it. Tails calls out to Sonic but to no avail, he isn’t listening. Sonic grabs the light and holds it in his hands, still mesmerized by it. “Sonic! No!!” Yelled out Tails, but it was too late.

In that instant, the light envelopes Sonic, integrating into his body. Once it was absorbed completely, the glow vanishes and Sonic falls to the floor. Tails rushes to Sonic’s side and carries him back to the tornado. After loading Sonic into the tornado, Tails flies back to his workshop, hoping to find a way to help his friend.
