This is my message to everyone who can't let things go. And I'm not talking about just the Bronies this time. This goes out to everyone who's like that. Like the people who still bitch about the whole Kimba vs Lion King (seriously guys, it's been over 20 years), Hell even the Lion King fandom is guilty of this. Talking crap about Lion King 1 1/2 and how it "ruined the original film". And I could go on and on. But I'm not gonna cuz it's just gonna upset me, so take this with a grain of salt.Related content

I enjoyed Lion King 1/2. It was a fun ride. I still prefer the original movie, but it's still a fun ride. I suppose this can also apply to GenWunners, or people who refuse to see anything good in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy.

I think it's one of the better Disney DTD sequels (or midquel). I mean, it's not as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. What they did with Timon and his backstory was great, and the middle part with him, Pumbaa, and Simba was too. Those where the main things I love about it, never mind the fact that is very funny all throughout.As for the the Star Wars prequels thing. I'm not much into the franchise, but that sounds incredibly closed-minded.
Ya know, sometimes I forget that, being a part of the Brony fandom, I have it kinda easy. We're tame in comparison to other fandoms when it comes to this. I have to keep this in mind more often so I don't loose it. Ugh, that's a road I don't wanna go down again....

You would be AMAZED just how close-minded some Star Wars fans can be, claiming that the Original is better is one thing, saying the Prequels are garbage is another, "but it's all CGI" so are most Marvel movies yet nobody whines about those, "but practical effects" are expensive, hard to get right, and after the development hell that was making Episode IV supposedly, there's a REASON Lucas did what he did, "but Anakin's so whiny" Luke was worse. Luke had friends, he could laugh, he could cry, Anakin did not. He was a slave as a child, had little if any friends, lost his Mother in front of him, slaughtered a whole camp of Tuskens in a fit of rage, lost his hand, was manipulated by Palpatine, had to deal with the stress of the Chosen One status, had to deal with the Council distrusting him, had to deal with being the Hero of the Republic, the Hero With No Fear, couldn't form bonds, despite being married to Padmé, had to spend the majority of his life IN A WAR, and who knows what else. "But Jar Jar" plays a tiny role in all the movies, the biggest thing he does is get the Jedi to Otha Gunga, which helps them get to Theed, that's the biggest thing he does, yes, he can be a little grating, but he's not that bad. "Jar Jar helped Palpatine become Emperor" So did literally fucking everyone ELSE, Palpatine was manipulating things from the very start, Jar Jar was just there and being manipulated by him. "Jar Jar gave Palpatine emergency powers" And remind me, WHO went for the vote of no confidence against Valorum who used to be in charge? Padmé, who couldn't have KNOWN. "But cringy dialogue" yes, yes, the love talk between Anakin and Padmé is a bit cringy, but it's funny, and they both have no real idea of how normal people act when in love due to their jobs, "but stilted acting" a good part of that is because Jedi philosophy revolves around distancing yourself from emotion completely, OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO BE FUCKING STILTED, THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT!

Thanks, I even prefer the Prequels to the Originals in certain aspects, so hearing the majority of the Internet rip it apart like it's garbage is disheartening for me.
