Lookie here, my first scene redraw in a while. But now in color! This is based on a scene in one of the recent episodes of MLP, The Parent Map. I greatly enjoyed the episode and it did answer some questions I had about these two. It had a lot of great moments including this one where Starlight and Sunburst lean against each other and sigh at their parents........behavior. As much as I loved that scene, I felt the expressions and body language could be pushed a bit more. I wanted to really emphasize Starlight's annoyance and Sunburst's exasperation.ΒI quite like how this turned out

They better make Starburst official before the series ends, if for no other reason than to show that you don't have to be a soldier (Shining Armor, Flash Sentry), a popular prep dream boy (human Flash Sentry) or a big strapping athletic guy (Bright/Big Mac) to get the girl...

I haven't watched that movie yet but I'm aware of some of his lines that made him sound like a flirt with loads of "game." Big Mac's got a nerdy streak himself but he's still that big strapping farm boy. At least we got Mud Briar who's just as out there as Maud is. But come on, let's have the adorkable introverted bookworm get the girl for a change!Β

They look so very done. I think this was one of my favorite episodes of the show thus far. Sunburst and Starlight play off each other WONDERFULLY.

I feel the same way. I really loved the episode the chemistry between those two as well. Also, I looked at the screen shot I based this on and I have to say, I pushed the expressions more than I thought XDΒ
