Short, but helpful. It's so easy to make realistic light effects, but somehow I always screwed up at drawing them.

Glow effects don't come out good with corners like squares, try to use the blur effect as well, also you don't need to make a separate layer for it, if it's a movie clip.

a good tip would be to have your brush tool ( if your using it) at Paint Fill to make that shadow.
