Nice tut. I've seen a few on bokeh, and I think this one is a simple explanation on the principle behind bokeh. I like that
(others just say - do this, do that... and you're like, wait, what? why?) xP
I guess I need to go out and get a macro lens. I've been wanting one for a while now, so I guess this just gives me one more reason! xD

You don't have to focus on one and then the other, just focus on your subject as always, he only focused on the light for demonstrational purposes

I think it should work with the macro 35 mm, but I'm not sure. Are you able to focus on your main object and getting the christmas lights out of focus?

Well, I have a Kodak camera. It says 5x optical aspheric lens near the lens, but I don't think that I had enough Christmas lights.

Is it possible to do bokeh on a camera that doesn't cost a fortune? I have a fujifilm finepix point and shoot that works excellent for photos.

Yes, with photoshop. You can achieve the same result without any lights or fancy cameras.
Now, I've managed to take pictures with objects out of focus with the shitiest digital camera in the world, so you could try and see what happens.
