Graphite Pencils (2H-4B)
This piece took a lot longer than I thought it was going to, but I'm reasonably pleased with the result. Rather than rushing the piece within 8 straight hours of continuous work, I spent an hour or two here and there over the course of 6 days. The dancer is a girl who dances over at The Velvet Hookah out in Dallas, Texas.

Wow this is absolutely stunning work! You did an amazing job with everything, the shading, the textures, the costume. When I first saw the thumbnail, to be honest, I thought it was a black and white photograph. Beautiful work.

mmm maybe.. but when you draw smaller you can get the essence of light and shadows easier I think

This is true; it is much more of a challenge to produce this sort of work in a larger format.
