Description
9x12 Bristol SmoothGraphite Pencils (2H-4B)
This piece took a lot longer than I thought it was going to, but I'm reasonably pleased with the result. Rather than rushing the piece within 8 straight hours of continuous work, I spent an hour or two here and there over the course of 6 days. The dancer is a girl who dances over at The Velvet Hookah out in Dallas, Texas.
Produced for ~DavidFolkie 's Dance art contest. Go head to his page and enter, he needs more people!

I think this is your best piece! looks wonderful, I think deciding to draw such a thing full of details is a challenge on it's own. I like how you treated the details on the dress and the body. my only concern will be that on the dark area in the back ground, I can see lines going in all directions, I usually try to work all my lines in the same direction because it distracts the eye sometimes. very well done, hope to see more of your work.

I think the beauty of this drawing not just how it seem as a photo, but how the body of the dancer fill the drawing and how she move .

Beautifully done, I must say. If I can offer a small piece of advice, I think the fingers of her right hand could use a little bit more contrast.
I love the detailing, and your use of negative space.

Thank you. Freckles and moles are details that usually are missed because they show imperfection, but I prefer to think of them as adding to the uniqueness of the subject.
